VISION
Boston Investor Services, Inc., (BIS) an administrative services firm for professional investment management firms, has been providing
full-service middle and back office support to select clients for more than 30 years. Since 1993, BIS has worked with eight investment management firms and has administered to over $65 Billion in global assets. We currently work with four investment management clients, with collective assets of over $12 billion.
Our small, yet specialized team, provides the expertise and capacity to grow with our investment managers’ business, yet gives us the ability to remain flexible enough to provide a personalized service uncommon in our industry. Our clients focus on their investments, while outsourcing the middle and back office trade settlement, record-keeping, and reporting requirements to the professional team at BIS. We are able to provide a boutique level service for our clients, allowing them to fully outsource the mid and back office responsibility.
Current BIS clients manage a variety of U.S. and international equity portfolios and mutual funds, as well as separately managed global and international equity accounts. What differentiates BIS's service is our expertise with international markets and our understanding of the complexities and challenges specific to custody, brokerage, settlement and compliance in these markets.
SERVICES
Since its inception in 1993, BIS has provided investment management firms with mid and back office support including trade processing and settlement, foreign exchange, reconciliation, cash management, client transaction/performance reporting, regulatory filings and compliance support.
As our clients have faced increased demand for automation and continued high standards for compliance, we have advanced our operational expertise in systems, compliance and accounting. We are familiar with a number of domestic and global portfolio accounting systems and have worked with many of our clients to further develop their specific trading and compliance systems and programs.
